Simultaneous Turning
SolidCAM offers a complete turning package for fast and efficient toolpaths.
SolidCAM Turning supports a wide range of lathes: 2-axis lathes, multi-turret options, turning centers with a sub-spindle, and Mill-Turn machines.
On C-, Y- and B-axis Mill-Turn machines, you use the same software for milling and drilling as you do for turning.

SolidCAM Turning Module
SolidCAM Turning Module
The SolidCAM turning module provides a complete solution for facing, OD turning, threading and drilling, using either classic G-codes or canned cycles.
SolidCAM recognizes the tool holder, the insert and the stock left by previous operations to avoid air cutting and collisions.
The SolidCAM turning module includes a library of standard clamping fixtures, and users can also define their own custom tools and fixtures.

Updated Stock for Turning and Milling
Updated Stock for Turning and Milling
SolidCAM uses the operation tree to continuously calculate the updated stock of the part. This is available on simple 2-axis lathes, on lathes with a CYB-axis lower turret and on Mill-Turn machines with a sub-spindle. On a machine with a sub-spindle, when the part is transferred from the main spindle to the sub-spindle, the updated stock is transferred with it. Operations on the sub-spindle therefore take into account everything done on the main spindle, for the most efficient machining possible.

Advanced Turning Operations
Advanced Turning Operations
Balanced Turning: When machining long and large parts, two tools cut at the same time or one after the other to prevent imbalance.
Angled Grooving: Cuts internal or external grooves at a defined angle.
Manual Turning: Turns a geometry defined by the user, independent of the stock or target definition.
4-Axis Simultaneous Turning: Uses the B axis to machine undercuts or inclined surfaces in a single step.
Multi-Turret Synchronization: Lets you build a timeline of when and how multiple turrets come into action.
